We chose to have our home built by Kawartha Lake Shore Building Co. after Discovery Dream Home recommended the company . We are very glad we did as they were a great team to work with. Chris Pascoe and Joe Ried were supportive, contributing practical solutions and ideas to the process. At every turn they worked with us, and provided input that was helpful and they did this consistently throughout the build.
Their crews were certified, hard working, and pursued quality work . They were polite, helpful and easy to work with. They arrived everyday and worked on our home everyday throughout the period it took to complete our house.

I was very fortunate to have been introduced to Joe Reid and Chris Pascoe at Kawartha Lakeshore Building Co. when I was looking for a contractor to build a new home on Chemong Lake. Their familiarity with contemporary design meant that they had the skills for the demanding elements of the build (including drywall, roof, tiling, stairs and cabinetry) and further, that they were excellent collaborators in developing interesting design ideas for the interior. The pricing was fair and the schedule was reasonable. Their team was conscientious and friendly. I was well treated and well informed throughout the building process. I love my new home both for its beautiful aesthetics and for the quality of the construction which makes it both comfortable and economical to maintain.
I would highly recommend Kawartha Lakeshore and would certainly work with them again.

We have been living in our house for a little over a month now - and we really love it!
This is our first ever build, but we had a clear idea of what we wanted and the style we were going for - and Kawartha Lakeshore Construction - alongside Discovery Dream Homes - brought it to life!
Everyone on the Kawartha Lakeshore Construction crew was really easy to talk to and work with.
We had regular conversations asking for timelines regarding the decisions that we - as the owners - needed to make to keep things on track for the crew. And by staying on top of our research, making timely decisions, and communicating effectively - everything ended up working out!
We also regularly visited the construction site and were able to build a really good rapport with different members of the crew, clarify pending items and make decisions on site about details the crew had creatively come up with!
It’s important to note that our build began in spring 2020 - right when COVID started - but the crew was able to navigate beautifully through the hurdles the virus brought with it, and they got us into our house within 10months from when we broke ground.
We really had an overall positive experience and we are sincerely grateful for all the hard work and love poured into our home.

From the initial design to the final product, they were so easy to work with and the quality of the work is pristine. We were referred to Joe and Chris’ company Kawartha Lakeshore Building through a family friend after having a bad experience with the first builder we had contacted. We loved how excited they were about our plans, their experience working on sloped or difficult lots, and their ability to do most of the work themselves (less exposure to time delays or unknown costs that can occur when builders need to use several subcontractors). The team provided great suggestions for how to turn our design ideas into reality along the way. They problem solved issues that arose along the way. The loft railing Chris built is gorgeous and I love my custom kitchen which has a floor to ceiling pantry all along one wall. We moved into our house sooner than planned and best of all, they helped us bring our idea of building a ICF pool to fruition!
